What is Body Engaged For Life?

Based in science & adapted for your personal circumstances Body Engaged For Life is a 12 week programme that will help you build a fitness journey YOU WANT, for life! 


We're dedicated to supporting you to find exercise & nutrition options that suit you & lay foundations for your future. 


We want to set you up, help answer your questions, cheer you on & leave you feeling confident to proceed with a sustainable, enjoyable, satisfying & lifelong fitness journey.

ABOUT Us

Rachel Berns

Rachel is a Personal Trainer specialising in Women's fitness. Rachel is a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer with additional Pre and Postnatal qualifications. She is currently studying towards her Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Award and Certification in Applied Functional Science.


During her time within the Fitness Industry she has worked predominantly in Women's specific spaces. Though the industry has changed and women are now less worried about being in the weights section of the gym, she feels that there is still a need for fitness spaces that focus more on the needs of women and yet are inclusive for all.


Rachel's goal is to ensure that each of her clients develops a love of movement (even if that movement is somewhere else) or at the very minimum a joy in moving together with the people in the Body Engaged Community. She wants to build up confidence in her clients, encourage them and arm them with knowledge to help them beyond their time at Body Engaged should they choose to move on. 


When not at Body Engaged, Rachel loves spending time with her friends and catching up with her family, spending time in nature either on long hikes or by the sea, seeing the world and eating food from all corners of the globe.

Picture of Andrea, Registered Nutritionist

Andrea Clares Montero

 Andrea Clares is a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) and Intuitive Eating Counsellor specialising in eating disorders and disordered eating. Andrea graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Nutrition and subsequently completed an MSc in Eating Disorders and Clinical Nutrition at University College London while also working as an intern at a specialist eating disorders clinic. She transitioned from her intern role to working one on one supporting clients in their recovery and is currently working in several leading eating disorder clinics in London. 


Andrea is passionate about empowering clients with the fundamental skillset to reclaim their freedom around food and ultimately heal their relationship with food and their bodies. She firmly believes that nutrition is not the be-all and end-all of health and instead she takes a more holistic approach whereby she considers other aspects of people’s lives, these being mental health, support systems and self-care into her work with clients. In her sessions, Andrea strives to promote a safe and comfortable environment and embrace an evidence-based, non-judgmental and individualised approach to nutrition and health counselling.


In her spare time, Andrea loves to spend time in the sun while connecting with family and friends, and exploring the world and its boundless cultures.
